As a result of some of the past issues involving the juvenile court in Luzerne 
County a number of resources have been developed to make negotating the juvenile system easier. The Guide to Juvenile Court is a resource that is can be helpful in any county, the Targeted Resouce Directory lists resources for Luzerne County.
Help Line maintains an active data listing of over 400 local agencies, as well as over 16,000 additional regional, state and national resources. If you need to know where the nearest AA group is being held or the telephone number for the Turkey Hotline to make sure Thanksgiving dinner is a success, Help Line is there to assist you.
Help Line also publishes a service directory to aid agencies and individuals in identifying and locating human services in Bradford, Luzerne, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming Counties. We are currently out of stock of directories. Help Line is switching to a new database and updating their resource information. We hope to have a new directory available by the summer of 2012.
Listed below is a partial list of resources that Help Line made the most referrals to during the year ending June 30, 2010. This is just a small portion of the resources available through Help Line. This year free clinics saw a large jump in referrals made. Three out of the top five programs Help Line made referrals to were free clinics.
Free Medical Clinics
Free medical clinic for persons who have no insurance or who are underinsured.
